Good book alert! Kirsten Miller is the outstanding author of the Kiki Strike book series as well as the Eternal Ones book series. I have not yet read the Eternal Ones, but highly recommend Kiki Strike! I loved, loved, loved reading this series of two (and soon to be three) books. It includes underground tunnels, mysterious dissappearances, unknown theft, and much more. It makes you think in a whole new way. Here is the short, but sweet interview!
Unknown to you:
I love the way you incorporate such practical advice in Kiki Strike.
Did you enjoy solving mysteries, as well as being mysterious yourself, much like one of the Irregulars, when you were a teen?
Kirsten Miller: Well . . .I didn't actually solve any cases, but I did fancy myself a detective. At one point, I was pretty convinced that one of my neighbors was guilty of MURDER. She turned out to be innocent, of course. But it sure was fun trying to prove she wasn't!
Thanks so much Ms. Miller!
Hope you have a wonderful, and crime free day!
(sorry, long time no post but this should make up for it! :) )

Review time!!!!
There is a movie coming out this month (April) called Born to be Wild. It will be 3D and in IMAX theaters. It sounds pretty good although I have not seen it yet. I was wondering if anyone who had seen it would share some of their personal reviews. Apparently, part of the movie has to do with the rescue of orphaned elephants in Kenya. I heard about this through this month's addition of scholastic's Math Magazine, which is a little magazine and each article has a math problem to figure out. All you teachers out there may like to check it out (that comment was ironic considering the below post). And don't forget, April 22 is Earth day! Please feel free to share how you're celebrating it!

Where Do We Get It From?
Most of the time, people learn bad habits from someone. And teachers help break some of those bad habits. Well, some of the time. I do truly think that teachers are some of the building blocks of our lives, and by the end of the year, I've had a strong bond with all of my wonderful teachers, but, think about the last time you talked in class. The teacher is up there talking, when all of a sudden you share a comment. But, you probably did not finish that comment did you? The reason that you didn't finish that comment was probably because while you were in mid sentence, I'm guessing that the teacher said "don't interrupt". After thinking about that statement, you probably continued telling your idea. Well, the teacher probably caught their mistake, and therefore stepped back and announced that they would wait.
Well, now you're confused. So, your teacher interrupted you to break your habit of interrupting, but then they interrupt you again to tell you they would wait for you, but technically if they were to wait they wouldn't have interrupted you to say so because that's not technically waiting. We are supposed to follow their examples, right? (I'm guessing you'll have time to think about this in the hall). So make sure that when you try to break a habit, MOM I CAN'T RIGHT NOW I'M ON THE COMPUTER! you don't just reinforce it.

Dear God,
Please be with Japan during their time of great need. Amen
If anybody knows about the Goodsearch search engine, the showed charity of the day is about Japan and how you can help.
